From just car you pass every day to or from work, to a house with a crazy collection, what is the most jalop car or car collection you see in a daily, or nearly daily basis? For me this place takes the cake. The green mustang is a new addition this week. They have two Mustangs, a Charger, two Dakotas (one with racing stripes), and a Ranger. There is another Charger sitting their frequently but not sure if theirs.

I believe that driveway is probable cause for domestic violence investigations in most states.

I don’t have a commute, but among my local errands I’d have to say the Merc GL63 takes the cake. It’s a big, bloated luxury SUV, but in a good way. He’s a local restaurant owner.

The guy across the street from me dailies a Giulia. He also has a C3 Vette, if I remember, but I hardly get to see it out. He may have even sold it for all I know.  I chatted with him a bit in the street, and I think he's pretty Jalop.

There is a guy on my old commute who has a garage he built last year which holds his collection of corvettes. He h as every generation of corvette other than the C6. Along the same road is the old guy with two 911’s.

its not my daily commute, but there was a house I would pass on the way to a house I was drawing an addition for. The guy had a barn full of vintage Land Rovers

Driving an old Mercury(?) while living in an apartment with no garage space can’t be easy.

Some guy down the street runs around in an International Scout, otherwise people err much too far on the side of “practicality”

This man. He has two matching el caminos and just look at that house! To quote someone from the oppo fb page, “That man has an extensive cassette collection, most likely in one of those cassette organizers with the two drawers and simulated wood exterior”

Every day for the last year and a half I pass a guy in a red Hellcat Challenger. He drives the car year round.

Otherwise there’s this guy that’s been daily driving 90s Mopars for almost a decade now........pretty sure he dailied a 66 Electra for a while too......

For me it’s a toss up between 3 old cars that street park across from my office - A blue and white Land Rover Defender, red e30 M3, or super clean white manual Volvo 240. I’m pretty sure the volvo owner is different than the other two, but the Land Rover and M3 might be owned by the same guy. I see him dropping his kid off in the D efender some mornings. If he owns the m3 too (they park in the same spot, but I’ve never seen someone get in or out of it) then I’d definitely say he takes the cake. If he just owns the land rover, it could just be a money thing rather than good taste . Still a bunch of cool old vehicles . Wrong direction from work, but a block from my house is a guy with multiple old Saabs, a Lexus SC 300, porsche 944, and a my stery car under covers in the garage. I’ve never met the owner, but sure seems like a jalop collection to me.

I recently moved and mostly bike to work on a path behind houses but there is an old caddy in a garage on my road and on the road route to work there is a blue s2000 driven by an older man. Most likely some cars hidden in garages

This person. He must run his own company, because most vehicles in his lot are work vans (3) and super duty trucks (4) . The over sized two car garage attached to the attached two car garage is very envious. There is even additional driveway around the corner. I swear there is more garage floor space than home, which is how it should be. I sigh in jealousy as I pull into my 1 car garage full of everything.

Oh boy. I have a neighbor who lives about 3/4 mile from my house with three similar-condition rotting 70's/80's coupes out back. They’re neatly parked next to each other, but none has moved in about 10 years, and he has no garage so he’s not “working on them” or “using them for parts for another one.” He also has an early 70's (?) Mustang that he bought about 6-7 years ago. I KNOW it ran when he bought it because he drove it home, but it hasn’t been on the road since. It’s parked outside all the time and moves about once a year to a different spot in the yard. During this same time period he had a truck with a plow that ran - I know this because he used it to push dirt around in his yard - but he did not plow snow with it. This past spring he got rid of that truck and got a newer one, also with a plow. It hasn’t moved since he bought it. I do know that it runs, again, because I saw it in transit to his house, AND I know the prior owner.

But what does he drive to work, you ask? Oh, I don’t think he “works” at a “job,” per se. But he does have an apparent wife and two middle-school-age kids. And they have not one, but TWO beige Camrys in the driveway that appear to be their primary transportation. Because of course.

Oh wait, you said MOST jalop.

There’s a house that used to have a Mitsubishi GT-3000 and now has a Fiesta ST instead. That’s probably our guy.

Sadly I can’t think of any. There’s a guy who details his cars a lot. But nothing really interesting or old. Maybe they’re all tucked away in their garages?

On my commute there is a house that’s mostly hidden in the woods, but in the winter you can get a glimpse of a few things:

A Kaiser Jeep M715 and Suzuki Samurai on swampers are the only things visibile from the road along with a large garage. The cherry on top is a decaying great lakes fishing boat listing over in the woods

Something like this

my neighbor has an AE86 coupe and an AE86 hatchback, an NA Miata, a BRZ, an early 2000s Tundra he uses for parts hauling and trucc stuff, a manual 2012 Mazda3 sedan and now a brand new manual Mitsu Mirage. another neighbor has a red 1980-sum 911 turbo s, and theres countless Toyobarus and old american muscle cars and more. no sr20 because i talked to ae86 guy and he doesn’t want them posted and because i don’t go by the others often

I regularly see a ~68-69 Nova and a ‘68 GTO convertible - even in inclement weather around Chicago. But those aren’t my nominee - this guy is.

Kinja'd!!!

This car is a true daily driver.  Coincidentally, he works right near my house, and seems to live near shop-teacher (we both see the car regularly).
